I Forgive Me

This piece is inspired by Emory Hall’s exquisite poem “I have been a thousand different women”, which I stumble across only a few months ago.

I resonate so strongly with this poem. I’ve spent so much time over the years being angry at myself for all the things I “should’ve” done differently… but the reality is my life now is so much more wonderful than I ever could’ve imagined and I would never of made it to this point if it wasn’t for all the different women I’ve been.

This poem moves me to make peace with all of the women I have been over the past decades… the ones I’ve been so angry at… the ones I’d like to forget and the ones who suffered. All of them.
So I’m replacing my “self anger” with “self forgiveness, acceptance and love”.
